Milk has been a proven beauty treatment since the days of Cleopatra, who was said to take her bath in a tub of milk. Goat milk contains a variety of nutrients, including vitamins A, B1, B6, B12, C and E, minerals, citric acid, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, enzymes, and other nutrients that nourish and revitalize dehydrated skin. Milk calcium tones and smoothes the skin and fatty acids present in goat milk are natural protectors to your skin. Goat milk contains approximately 3.5% protein which makes the bars of soap protein rich and wonderful for delicate complexions. Goat's milk has a ph level close to that of human skin. It is the gentlest & mildest of all soaps and is ideal for every skin type.

ingredients: Olive oil is extremely mild; it moisturizes the skin and forms a protective film that does not inhibit the skin’s normal, necessary functions; it is also a good cleanser. Coconut oil is a moisturizer and contributes to making a hard bar of soap with a generous lather. Safflower and Canola oils produce a foaming action and thereby help produce the rich, creamy lather we all desire in a bar of soap. Borax, a natural occurring mineral, gives a little boost to the cleansing properties in my soap. Glycerin is typically removed from mass produced soaps during the manufacturing process so it can be sold separately. The
cold process method of making goat milk soap that I use retains all of the naturally occurring glycerin in each bar of soap. In addition, I add a small amount of vegetable glycerin to each batch I make. Sodium Hydroxide is what produces the chemical reaction that causes the milk and oils to saponify, or turn into soap, and harden into bars. The final step is to allow the bars to dry, or cure, on racks for 6 weeks before using them; during that time the sodium hydroxide is neutralized.
My handmade goat milk soap is lovingly made using pasteurized milk from healthy goats. I also add cream to my soap recipe which gives the bars extra emollients and additional moisturizing properties. The result is an extremely luxurious bar of soap with great lather that leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft. My goat milk soap will not strip your skin of its natural oils and it cleanses without drying. Once you have showered with goat milk soap you may never again want to shower with anything else!
